Monday March Renovation Then And Now min read Categories Diary of discoveries By Eva Share Renovate blog banner Jyears ago I started working with enthusiasm in my cozy house. With a very low budget made up of carefully saved pennies I decided to outsource the tasks that were beyond my skills to professionals.
At that time I was not yet aware of the important insights I would gain later. In my zeal to renovate everything from every broken tile to the entire kitchen I overlooked a cruc HK Phone Number ial aspect the pipes and electricity. This neglect ultimately cost me dearly when I discovered that the outdated and too narrow pipes were unable to drain toilet paper. Even though I had just completed the renovation I was faced with the choice of not flushing the toilet paper. Anyway…. After several times assistance from plumbing companies who had to flush the pipes... decided not to flush toilet paper down the toilet anymore. Not a disaster because I had hand showers installed near the toilet for a fresh bottom. Over the years the problems continued to pile up. The walls had to be reworked every year due to rising damp.
Conveniently southfacing the house enjoyed daily sunshine – a boon in winter – but this exposure also had its drawbacks. Clothes pegs and bamboo shade areas had to be replaced regularly due to sun damage. Now more than thirteen years later it was time for a second renovation of the house and after only years also of the bathroom. the visible elements but also to have the pipes and electricity professionally replaced. Finally it would be possible to flush toilet paper without worry
